RPD 2010 – “Industrial Knowledge for Innovation” will continue to open discussion on innovations in Product Development, RP&T and Rapid Manufacturing, presenting the latest research, developments and products related to the most important areas of Rapid Product Development.

RPD 2010 Organizing Committee invites you to contribute to this debate, submitting a paper on the following topics:

  • Product Development
  • Industrial Design
  • Rapid Prototyping
  • Rapid Tooling
  • Rapid Manufacturing
  • CAD/CAE/Reverse Engineering
  • Design Engineering
  • Virtual Environments
  • Concurrent Engineering
  • Materials
  • Production Technologies
  • Innovation on Moulds
  • Plastics Processing
  • New Trends and Advanced Developments
  • Applications.

Abstracts must be written in English and should not exceed 200 words. A provisional title, an abstract of the overall paper, the name, address, and email of the author(s) are mandatory information.

Abstracts must be sent by mail (rpd@mouldsevent.com) to the Organizing Committee/Centimfe.

Copies of these abstracts will be forwarded to the members of the Technical Committee for review and selection. The abstracts must not be written with a commercial intention.

For your and our best convenience, you can find a template for your abstract here.

The final paper is to be sent by email (rpd@mouldsevent.com) until May 24th, 2010. The Organizing Committee will forward it to the Technical Committee for revision and selection.

The acceptance of the final paper will be notified by email before 18th of June 2010, together with the revisions that must be made. We urge that revisions are made promptly.

The final version of the papers must be forwarded to the Organizing Committee/Centimfe until July 09th, 2010.

Papers Format:

To assist in preparing the Paper, special requirements that facilitate reproduction are described below:

  • Papers must not exceed 5 pages (A4);
  • Heads must be bold 12 pt, Arial and centred. Double spacing between these heads and the following text;
  • Subheads must be bold 12 pt and flush left;
  • All text which follows must be justified and 10pt Arial;
  • Title of paper, name of author, company affiliation and address must be indicated on the first page; Title should be in 12pt, Arial and bold;
  • Papers must be presented in Word format.

Aiming at providing you the adequate support for the preparation of papers, please see "Guide for Authors and Presenters" and "Paper Model" documents.

Gathering the main guidelines and essential requirements for the submission of papers, the "Guide for Authors and Presenters" will constitute an important reference document for preparing and submitting your paper.

Additionally, and for your best convenience a user-friendly "Paper Model" is available to support you in preparing and meeting the requirements regarding paper submission process.
