Under the theme "Designing the Industry of the Future", this year's edition of RPD will discuss Innovation and Rapid Product Development Technologies for the first time in the Portuguese northern city of Oliveira de Azeméis, from October 29th to 30th.
RPD 2008 will bring to discussion and debate the state-of-the art and innovation in Product Development, Rapid Prototyping & Tooling, Rapid Manufacturing and related areas.

Based on the success of the previous initiatives, Marinha Grande – Portugal- will be in 2008, the innovation theatre for a Brokerage Events Joint Summit dedicated to the Moulds and Dies Industry and to the Nano-Materials and µ-Technologies.
The Brokerage Event 2008 will be a catalytic forum towards the establishment of European Scale partnerships for R&D, Networking, Technology Transfer and Business Development.
The main objective of the symposium is to bring together scientists and recognised specialists from the industry working on micro-manufacturing and with nanomaterials.
The symposium will promote the exchange of experiences on techniques for micro-manufacturing and application of nanomaterials in micro-devices. It will be also a forum for dialogue between scientists and industrialists from different fields. A specific goal of the symposium is the promotion of scientific and technological developments in emerging sectors using micro-manufacturing.This is an organization of CEMICRO – Portuguese Network for Micro-manufacturing.
A Cefamol-Associação Nacional da Indústria de Moldes,
irá promover, nos dias 30 e 31 do próximo mês de Outubro, a realização do IX CONGRESSO DA INDÚSTRIA DE MOLDES, o qual irá decorrer, no Auditório do Centimfe, na Marinha Grande, durante a "Semana de Moldes 2008".
O Congresso será um espaço primordial para a afirmação
da nossa Indústria e para a demonstração dos seus saberes, competências e experiência no mercado internacional contribuindo,
de forma relevante, para a valorização e promoção da economia portuguesa.
